I joined as a Youth Trainee studying towards an NVQ in Business and Administration working in the HR function supporting a project to close a large call centre in Didsbury and opening up a new one in Farnborough. This role involved carrying out all of the administration surrounding redundancy, arranging all of the interviews and selection days and developing all of the scripts for the consultation meetings.

Liaising on a regular basis with HR consultants and management regarding staff to transfer. Providing advice and guidance to staff regarding the transfer. Production of all confirmation letters/changes/new starters/leavers etc. Liaising with agencies and external service providers on a day to day basis. Advising on recruitment queries.

I am a very passionate, driven and ambitious woman. I am a mother of 2 beautiful boys aged 8 and 11 and a wife to a very loving husband who I met when I was just 17 and have been very happily married ever since.
I am a full-time working mother who is very passionate that you can work full-time and raise a family and succeed at both. It takes courage, belief, hard work and determination.
I would love to see more young girls considering a career in STEM as it is a fantastic field and will be so much more successful if there is a mix of men and women in these fields.

I knew I wanted to work with people but never considered HR but as soon as I started my first role in HR I realised it was the area for me. Originally I considered becoming a primary school teacher.
