Quite simply, we advise ambitious companies, we promote their stories to find the right investment for growth and we help those companies access the growth capital that's right for them.
Our expert staff at finnCap are modern entrepreneurs. We accelerate growth by working in partnership with driven business leaders, realising their growth aspirations at every stage of their journey. Our expertise spans multiple sectors, public and private markets and we are as ambitious as the companies we work with.
The market recognises us as the largest adviser on the LSE and No. 1 broker on AIM.
I am passionate about helping young people find their ambition and to make sure that gets developed. I love working with entrepreneurs and love helping ambitious companies grow which is what we do at finnCap and I believe every child from primary age upwards should learn about entrepreneurship and the skills required. I left KPMG after qualifying as an ACA 20 years ago and took what many believed to be a risky move into a private client stockbroker called JMFinn. My role there, age 23, was to set up a corporate finance function, which I did and successfully led the MBO of finnCap 10 years later. I loved building up this business and recently we completed our first acquisition and took the company public so there is still lots more to do and I still love it!
I get involved in mentoring young people and speak at schools on many occasions. I find it really inspiring personally to see the differences that can be made to young children who desperately need a variety of role models to help them find their passions and succeed.

ALWAYS try and regularly push yourself outside your comfort zone.
Find mentors at various stages of your career to help and act as a sounding board.

I didn't like primary school but not sure why. I liked sixth form as I started to find some confidence and subjects I liked. My interest in economics has led me to a path towards accountancy and finance and then into business. I was instantly interested in it at soon as I studied it at A level.
