A channel marketing executive promotes the company's products (in this case software products) to trade customers (major retailers such as supermarket chains, electronics stores and software suppliers, and smaller independent retailers. I also promoted our software titles directly to end users via direct marketing and online.

While I had been working at GSP the company had grown and I had developed, so I was promoted and able to recruit marketing executives and assistants to work with me on promoting our software titles to trade customers and end users.

I joined PwC to work on its new business are of Data and Analytics. I created a marketing plan and have been involved in implementing it. This has covered a range of basic marketing activities such as creating web pages and collateral, blogs and social media campaigns to developing thought leadership campaigns and a major sponsorship programme with the Science Museum. I work closely with the Data and Analytics experts, and other marketing professionals in other territories and other teams.

When I was at school (and university) I had no idea what I wanted to do. Towards the end of my degree course, I realised it was marketing.

Considered the balance of subjects more carefully for A Level.
