As reporter and web content manager, I was responsible for providing editorial content and delivering all Civil Service World’s commercial contracts.

As UK National Skills Lead, I was responsible for creating and delivering Microsoft UK’s Digital Skills Programme, which offers online and in person digital skills courses for all ages and all stages of digital proficiency.
As Product Manager, I am responsible for managing the global Microsoft Professional Program (MPP) – a series of online learning and development MooCs aimed at facilitating careers in tech.
UK Digital Skills Lead for Microsoft as I was responsible for developing the first of a series of learning pathways and courses that are now helping everyone across the UK develop the skills they need. I love knowing that people up and down the country are benefitting from the programme I created.
I am a STEM skills leader with experience in the tech industry. I have spent the last few years working on developing learning pathways for young people with a particular focus on girls and young women.
Always take the opportunity to develop further skills even if, at the time, the opportunity is offered it may not seem that relevant.


Key skills required for my role include: Collaboration with other teams to ensure the smooth running of the programme; Organisational skills to keep on top of programme admin; Management skills to make key decisions.
Journalist
I wouldn't do anything differently despite not staying in the journalism profession. The reason being that often opportunities pop up that take you in a completely different direction. Had I not taken the decision to move to Microsoft I would never have discovered my passion for STEM learning.
