One of the best things about my job is that the work is project based. You get to work on lots of interesting and challenging projects with different teams and clients from various industries, so that no two days at work are ever the same. Also the software you are helping to implement for clients is solving real business problems, so your work has a big impact.
One of the key benefits of the job outside the the work itself, is the ability to travel for projects, experience different cultures and meet people from different countries.
I work as a consultant for a supply chain software company called Manhattan Associates. As part of my job, I have worked on many projects in the UK, Europe and internationally, designing and implementing supply chain software for different global companies.

Problem solving is key to being successful as a consultant. The ability to solve the client's business problems efficiently and creatively is an important aspect of the job. Also good communication skills are useful so that you are able to explain your ideas clearly to the rest of your team as well as the client.
